For as long as I can remember I have loved art, always colouring in, painting and doing little projects in school. Spending years as a hands on Aunty and now a mother, I have had the opportunity to be creative with messy play. My favourite memories as a child are playing with chocolate, mashing my food all together into one big messy pie and making shapes with it at the dinner table, playing with make-up and dress up, and helping mum in the garden. Any excuse to get messy and let my creativity flow!
Mini Messers was an opportunity for me to explore different textures again, looking up ideas for a theme and making it become a reality. It has been a great journey so far working alongside Karen, my sister, and I love being able to work my own hours, mixing with other parents in the local community and watching the childrens faces light up as the learn something new in this sensory experience. It’s very rewarding and I am amazed at each and every session watching how each and every individual child interacts with the environment they are in, experimenting, exploring and having so much fun!
